The Market Hotel

Very friendly staff, nice room with great facilities. I really appreciated that there was hair conditioner available besides shampoo and body wash. The restaurant has great food as well. There was a fan in my room which I appreciated as it was really hot outside, and a little area designated for my baggage.

Could be a bit noisy in the evening as there is a bar and a beer garden underneath.

Not warned before booking of live music and DJ to midnight Mon-Fri and 0100 at weekends. Only found out when we checked in.

Central location with a car park 2 minutes away. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room.

Centre of Town very close to the High Street Very comfortable bed in a spacious room. Easy to go out through a secure access gate with a key when the pub is closed. (1AM-12PM) Plentiful supply of tea and coffee, with water bottles also thoughtfully provided. Storage for my bag kindly provided when I checked out. Easy retrieval after a few hours, too.

The bathroom. Stains on the towel rail and shower tiling grout. The door did not close properly and had a very irritating squeel when moving. The bathroom amenities were plentiful and a good quality. If you are very large, the shower door is quite narrow. I just got through it and consider myself larger. My room on the second floor was facing the square, with pub outdoor seating directly below. This is NOT the pubs fault; people were loud until 12.45am. There is only single glazing with one window open I could not shut. I understood the late closing, and i go to sleep late anyway.
