Overall, we had a good stay and found the hotel to be very comfortable, but there were some operational issues that significantly impacted our experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with excellent air conditioning. The shower was great, with reliable hot water available at all times. We were also impressed by the hotel's facilities, including the swimming pool and gym, which were both very well kept. Overall, the property itself exceeded our expectations.

The main issue was the lack of communication and organization regarding activities and guest services. Before our arrival, we exchanged several emails with the concierge to arrange game drives and airport transportation. Communication was slow and unclear, and although we received written confirmation that the game drives had been booked, we discovered upon arrival that the reservations had not actually been made. Even after the bookings were sorted out, there were further organizational problems. On one of our game drive mornings, the hotel had no record that we were leaving early, so the takeaway breakfast that had been provided on the previous day was not prepared. We had to spend valuable time resolving the issue with reception shortly before departure, which created unnecessary stress. Our final disappointment was the breakfast service on our last day. A large conference was taking place at the hotel, and the breakfast area became overcrowded. Food was not replenished quickly enough, leaving several hotel guests, including ourselves, with very limited options. Better planning and separate arrangements for conference attendees and hotel guests would have greatly improved the experience.

I expected to hear some animals at night, but the hotel is situated such that it was not possible.

The location of the hotel inside the park was great. Very easy access to the Kruger in the morning made our trip very enjoyable. The gym was an excellent addition after spending our days driving around the park.

The concierge desk didn't seem very responsive/proactive so we ended up booking all our game drives via SANParks directly. The breakfast wasn't available early enough for anyone wanting to be in the park by 06h or earlier. Likewise for the dinner, it was finished by 08h - which felt quite early.
