The Tarbet Hotel

Bel hôtel de charme très bien situé avec des chambres spatieuses très confortables. Avec une ambiance "manoir écossais" très dépaysante.

Le petit déjeuner était très moyen. C'est le seul bémol

Im Zimmer hatte es Spinnweben, das Geschirr beim Frühstück war nicht so sauber.

Das historische Hotel liegt direkt am Loch Lomond. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Blick auf den See. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Frühstück reichhaltig, die Räume gemütlich und sauber. Gerne wieder.

The staff at the hotel were very goog

There was an issue with the water pressure in the sink and shower at 7am with just a dribble coming out of the taps. There was no hot water either. I took a video as proof. Reported it to reception. After breakfast the bar manager came took check and the water pressure had increased. He said there was an issue with the boiler and there was a specific sequence that the taps and shower had to be turned on for it to work properly. He also said hhey should have put a sign in the shower to tell you about this and he was going to make sure that was done that day. He also said there were a couple of other rooms with the same issue. As we had packed ready to leave we were not going to trail back with our things to use the shower as we had already washwd in the sink and used a kettle to boil hot water to wash in. U reported through booking.com but the reply from the hotel was that it was working when the bar manager went up. I have video evidence of the problem! Not a satisfactory resolution! Will not recommend staying here.

Location, friendly staff, dogs allowed in restaurant

Cooked Vegan breakfast consisted of a tomato and 2 spoons of beans. Soya milk on request but brought in tiniest of jugs, insufficient for cereal and coffee, had to repeatedly ask for more which was frustrating. Food in restaurant expensive and small portions.
