Lemon tree hotel

食事も美味しく、サウナも最高でした。

時期によってはサウナからシャワーまで行く時に寒いかも。

We were so lucky to have secured a stay here at Lemon Tree. Kentaro-San was an excellent host, who greeted us at the port when we arrived on the last ferry. Enjoyed our conversations greatly, his passion the island gave us a deeper appreciation of the island. The place has the best views, with a down-to-earth, warm and authentic atmosphere. The homemade meals made with local ingredients were some of the best meals we had on our trip. Truly a special place.

Hübsches Häuschen mit viel Insel-Romantik. Der GAstgeber ist wahnsinnig nett und bewirtet außergewöhnlich gut (besonders abends). Wer individuellen Charme mag, für den lohnt der Weg! Auch für Abschalten in einer für japanische Verhältnisse seltener Abgeschiedenheit. Ein schönes Cafe ist nicht weit und einige interessante Kunstprojekte bieten sich auch für einen Tag. Ich kam bei Regen und hatte dann doch Sonne...

Insel ist nur über Takamatsu zu erreichen, doch die Stadt lohnt einen halben Tag.

It was one of our favourite places in our whole 6 week trip through Japan. The hosts were so friendly, and helpful. They were wonderful in arranging to have our phone charger, which we left in the last hotel, couriered then having someone bring it over on the ferry to us. Incredible family. Staying on the island was idyllic. Peaceful and serene. Just watching the boats sail in and out as the sun went down. The food was amazing, they should hold a cooking school. Paddock to plate, fresh and local. The island is a wonderful place to wander around. We walked on the beaches and swam in the ocean, clean and clear. You must visit the hosts fabulous cafe and try the burgers. And in case you have a sweet tooth and need espresso coffee, visit the local cafe whose cinnamon scrolls are out incredibly moreish. Also has a great view of the ocean. Ogi is definitely a special place to stay. We'll be back XS

Being on an island there are lots of steep steps, so be careful. The accommodation is low key and vintage style so don't expect a big brand hotel. The wildlife gets up early so catnaps are the order of the day or take ear plugs and an eye mask. The beds are comfortable, the shower hot, the food fabulous and the view spectacular. Definitely a special place.

Ogijima är en fantastisk liten ö och Lemon tree hotel, med ägaren Kentaro, är ett fantasifullt, omsorgsfullt och perfekt tillskott till denna fridfulla och charmigt bedagade ö. Helt klart det mest unika boendet under våra just nu tre veckor i Japan. Du får ett ställe (likt en trädkoja!) helt för dig själv! Havsutsikt, sköna sängar och god mat och bastu (om du köper till detta). Kentaro är den mest serviceminded och omtänksam hotellägare som jag någonsin har träffat. Han tänker på alla små detaljer! En otrolig kreativ entreprenör, som Ogijima nog behöver fler av. Jag önskar att vi hade kunnat stanna fler nätter och njuta av landsbygden och den mysiga gästfriheten på Lemon tree hotel, men det här stället blir fullbokat snabbt, verkar det som (vi besökte under Setuchi -trienalen).

Det finns ett enda minus med detta coola DIY-boende och det är sovrum och toalett samt dusch inte ligger i samma rum, inte ens samma våningsplan. För att ta dig mellan de olika rummen måste du gå i sandaler (flipflops) i flera små smala trappor och böja på huvudet flera gånger. Detta kan vara bra att veta innan man bokar. Vi hade inte ont av det, men hade vi varit längre än 190 centimeter eller lite tjockare eller bredare än vad vi redan är, så hade det nog kunnat bli ett problem att få plats på vissa ställen. Duschrummet är även mycket litet och smalt.

自然を満喫するのに最適な環境。夜は真っ暗だけど窓から見える朝、昼、夕方の違った景色をずっと楽しめる。オープンキッチンでオーナーさんがゴハンを作ってくれているのをおしゃべりしながら見て、オリジナルオーガニックビールを飲みながら待つ時間もとても良かった。もちろん夕食も朝食もすごく美味しかったです！色々こちらの都合に合わせて柔軟に対応してくださって感謝しかないです。

自分は平気なのでそれも楽しいと思えましたが、虫が苦手な方にはお薦めできません（笑）。自然と共存するってそういうことなので、、、

人も景色も最高でした！

夕食、朝食ともに素材も調理もたいへん良かったです。オーナーさんファミリーはホスピタリティに溢れ、日々の喧騒から離れた非日常を満足して過ごせました。

不満はとくにありませんでした。今後も拡張予定ということでしたので、さらに期待してまた伺いたいです。

Ken-san greeted me to help carry my bags. Upon check-in he brought me tea and I enjoyed the view of the sea from the common space/ kitchen area. The place is beautifully rustic and immaculately clean. I could have spent days just starting at the sea. And the food…. Wow. Everything from the garden or the sea. A delicious craft beer which felt well deserved after a walk to the lighthouse. And finally an amazing and very hot sauna before bed. This was more than just a night’s stay- it was an inspiration on how to live in harmony with nature. I didn’t want to leave and hope to come back.
