We needed a place to stay for a family wedding. This place was perfect. Spotless property and brilliant location. Hosts were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful - even asked if we’d like to check in early so we could get ready before the ceremony!

Good value, clean facilities in a convenient location: near a station but also possible to park nearby. Owners helpfully provided instructions for lockbox well in advance (while I still had home internet access). Quite quiet for an urban location (at least during my weeknight stay).

There is no curtain or frosted glass preventing people from the street seeing what is going on in the house through the front door. Similar problem in the kitchen (which is overlooked from other houses) as the window blind is stuck and cannot be closed. The garden is a horror: not a plant of flower in sight apart from thigh-high weeds, but fortunately I was not planning to use it much anyway. One of the bedrooms is separated from the bathroom along a landing interrupted by two sets of two steps, which have no handrail and are adjacent to the main stairs (which themselves have no safety gate). This could be dangerous at night particularly for the elderly and children, although happily as I was alone I could sleep only in the small double bedroom adjacent to the bathroom and was unaffected. The bath had no plug, but like most experienced travellers I always carry one in my suitcase.
