The Snug

It's a small, cosy place. It has a wonderful bathroom with a shower and a bath. Lots of space to store your things. The bed is comfortable (although maybe a bit small for 2 big people) . The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. I had several questions for them before and during my stay and they were very helpful. They definitely did more than had to to help me out. Very appreciated. And I'm has a nice little private courtyard where you can sit outside. I enjoyed my stay there and I recommend it.

Not really negatives but things to be aware of: The kitchen is tiny. I'm has microwave, an air fryer and 2 electric hot plates with 2 small pans. So only very simple meals are possible to prepare. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear the people living next door going about their business. Not loudly but noticeable.

The property was perfect for our needs. We arrived by bike late afternoon and were met by the host as we entered shortly after collecting the Keys from a lockbox, following the clear instructions emailed via booking.com messenger function. They aided us in getting our bikes to a large private secured courtyard exclusively accessed by the rental unit that included small BBQ. The property itself was faultless and there was an added bonus of complimentary biscuits, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and even bread, butter and jam for the morning. Overall excellent impression. The bedroom was large and bed comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for two with everything you’d need including toaster, microwave and even an air fryer. The bathroom was superb with stand alone shower and large role top bath. Would definitely book again if in the area.

It was in a Good location.

The water didn’t seem to get very hot for bath/shower. We were woken up on both nights in the middle of the night by a dog barking from what I assume is the main household. Again, in the morning by the main household general conversation/noise. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows also were not. Definitely not ideal when you are pregnant like myself. In the kitchen the washing machine was mouldy and unfortunately this caused the kitchen to smell quite unpleasant. With this in consideration it actually resulted in us leaving our long weekend away a day earlier and not staying for the full three nights that we had paid for.

Really excellent location, being only 150 yards from the town centre, but located in a quiet street. The town is great for exploring the New Forest or for heading down to the coast. The apartment was very comfortable with good facilities and good for a short break.

Nothing negative to report.

Little extra treats were there that we weren't expecting.

The Snug was clean, comfortable and really well presented. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and even a little courtyard to sit out in (although we didn’t as it was raining!). Unexpected extras included water and beer in the fridge, bread and jam so we could have a basic breakfast. Thoughtful little touches that made our stay enjoyable.

Lovely apartment, it had everything we needed and the host very kindly left biscuits, bread, a couple of beers, bottled water etc, great location, and very clean. The hosts were also on hand nearby if we needed anything.

Quirky had a lot to offer( when we searched)

It was cold & draughty and no hot water in the shower! The TV was not intuitive and did not have all of the free view channels especially BBC as it was app only.
