Food quality
AEIt was amazing. The room was spotless, beautiful, comfortable, with a gorgeous view and just steps away from the hiking trail. The food was expensive, but it was delicious and convenient. Being up there you don't want to waste time cooking, just enjoying the place, so the food price is worth it.
The pillow was too big.

GBThis is delightful place managed by Ram who booked us delicious and filling Nepalese/Omani food. Such a lovely man who just wanted us to have a great stay. The room was very comfortable and modern. There is a place to park and you are right at the start of the Balcony walk. The road up is under construction and is bit tough in places although very manageable with a 4x4. The owner is also very helpful and organised a trip to a wadi for us. We also did a walk towards Jabal Shams from the Sami resort down the road. Plus don’t miss Cliff cafe for a great coffee on your way up and down and to see the incredible view.

GBWonderfully hospitable staff (many thanks, Ram) and in a great location. Simple but well cooked food. Perfectly placed for the Balcony Walk, which is must-do.
Not much else to do locally, although ok for a chilling couple of days. The gravel road up is fine in a 4x4, but could be challenging in an ordinary saloon, although it is being rebuilt so this should improve over time
DEGBLocation was superb, right at the very start of the balcony walk hiking trail. The view from the bedroom window was incredible, looking right out over the canyon. This is what you pay for and it is worth the difficult drive up to the guest house (in a 4x4). Ram was an excellent host who really looked after us with breakfast and dinner. The room was spacious and very clean.
