DEI stood at Holy River Stays for Diwali, which is a very important religious event celebrated with family and lots of fireworks. Kuldeep kindly invited me to join his family together with other clients of his guesthouses. His hospitality is outstanding. I will be forever thankful because, as a solo female traveller, he always made me feel safe. He takes very good care of his guests! He also took me to a Aarti ceremony in a temple which was an outstanding experience. The guest house couldn't be more centrically located, in the middle of all those old narrow streets and close to the main Ghatts. My room on the groundfloor had a window with grids to the tiny courtyard so I could chitchat with the children outside. So cute! Everything was clean and well organised. Thank you so much!
Everything great!
KZI want to share my wonderful experience staying at this hotel! First of all, the location is just perfect! The hotel is within walking distance of major attractions, yet tucked away from the noise of the main streets, ensuring a peaceful stay. I especially want to highlight the hotel owner - Kuldeep. He is incredibly friendly and attentive to every guest. From the very start, it was clear that he genuinely cares about making everyone feel at home. At check-out, he surprised us with a thoughtful gift – a small but memorable gift from our trip. This gesture truly won our hearts and left us with warm memories. We will definitely come back here and recommend this hotel to all our friends!

USLocation: deep in the old quarter of Varanasi. It was like stepping back in time. The area has narrow paths, unvarnished, authentic, not commercialized (at time of my visit). Short walk to the most well known ghats - no need for transportation.
If you are looking for luxury, you may want to select one of Kuldeep’s other properties. Though not a negative for me, no TV etc. However, basics were completely adequate.
NZThe big reason I booked this property was because of the reviews being so highly rated. I must say I was a bit disappointed. We stayed 4 nights. The room was okay, the cleanliness could have been better. Kuldeep was absent or away for the first 3 nights so we had no direction input. He did ring a couple of times but communication was a bit hard over the phone. The room lacked amenities, no tea coffee, water . The staff were friendly but communication wasn’t easy( not all there fault). Location was an experience, not easy to reach but Shriva? The young fellow meet us to guide us in. Glen B
Cleanliness, communication, amenities
LVIt was my first time travelling to India and i came to Varanasi as a solo female traveller. I could not feel more welcome and safe. The owner Kuldeep is very friendly, helpful and attentive to his guests. I had everything I needed and wanded, thank you for accepting me so warm-heartedly 🙏❤️

BRSuper friendly and helpful host and staff, spacious room and bathroom, good bed and a/c
ECThe room was so clean and comfortable. The room had a lot of light!the hotel is nearby the ghats and the host is very friendly and attentive. Willing to take you to see the temples in the evening.
GBHost was very friendly. Aircon worked well. Very close to Ganges river, ghats, Blue Lassi. Nice chai tea. They let us check in early.
Watching the bag man walk bare foot through the streets through cow dung and dirt and then traipsing it all in to our room wasn’t ideal. Not accessible by car or tuk tuk so you have to walk through tiny alleyways for 10 mins from the street with your bags. We lost count of the number by of times our door was knocked on by staff at all hours. It became uncomfortable, we couldn’t relax. We were woken by a bag man at 7am one morning who mistook our room for another. The noise from kids screaming & playing outside our window at night went on for HOURS, they may aswell of been in the room with us they were so loud. This happened all 4 nights. Window did nothing to mask. Shower temp was tepid at best. We didn’t have a duvet cover the first night.
ESVery close to the gants. The room had AC and it was confortable.
