"An amazing hotel experience!"

10.0

The hosts, Rómulo and Gelga, are the most kind and accommodating hosts that I have experienced in my years of travel. Rómulo will occasionally offer taxi services and guided me through the temple of Luna, just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious! Gelga organized a taxi when needed and was especially helpful when I messed up my pick up time of 4 am (for Machu Pichu) fixing the problem for me. The gardens are gorgeous and setting beautiful. The rooms comfy and stylish. One of the best experiences I have had in my decades of travel!

"A holiday that felt like home"

10.0

We came for a hotel but left with an amazing experience we will never forget. The hosts (Rómulo and Gelga) were phenomenal. They went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay and we really felt at home. We learned so much from them about inca and pre-inca culture. Rómulo took us to local inca sites and taught us with such passion you couldn't help but learn and love where you were. He is an excellent guide. Rómulo also took us on a private excursion to Rainbow mountain and the Red valley, timing it perfectly to avoid crowds and stopping off for some delicious tamalitos. We really feel that he gave us a more authentic and personal experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. It does get chilly at night so there is a hot water bottle in bed waiting for you - such a kind touch.

"Beautiful property close to nature with the most attentive hosts"

10.0

Rómulo and Helga were so helpful throughout my entire stay - they personally picked me up from the airport and dropped me to the bus station. Rómulo was especially helpful by leading me personally to the bus terminal where we realised it was the wrong one - he drove me and dropped me personally to the correct one! I would have been lost without him. They always checked on me and made sure my safety (being a solo traveller) was a top priority. They organised all transportation I needed for tours, and provide their own private tours at a competitive price. The property is located in a quiet area within walking distance of many lesser known Inca archaeological sites, notably the Temple of the Moon which is a 5 minute walk away! Rómulo brings all the guests here when they have a chance, and shares his extensive knowledge of Inca/Pre-Incan history. The area is great for hiking and a short walk (approx 15 mins) downhill to San Blas. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and comfortable, with hot bottles provided every night during the cold season. I would definitely recommend this place for first-time travellers to Peru and solo travellers who might be anxious - Rómulo and Helga will definitely put you at ease and make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

I enjoyed everything about the property but it is more suited for spiritual travellers who enjoy being close to nature, rather than those who would like to spend all their time near the busy, noisy main square where the main touristy shops and restaurants are located.

"An intentional and pure experience of Cusco!"

10.0

We are so beyond happy that we spent our time at Kosko while in Cusco. There is a special energy here from the moment you arrive! We felt very safe, and so cared for by Helga and Romelio. Highlights include- the location is perfect, is quiet and backs up to miles of historic trails, and the walk into town is such a great experience but i definitely recommend acclimating before attempting! Another is the warmies that are given before bed, creates such a cozy sleeping experience! Last is just getting to be around and meet the hosts, we so wish our Spanish was better so we could talk more with Helga but our time with them was still so meaningful. Thank you!!

We loved the trek into town but if you are coming to be in the city and go out every night, this may not be the place for you. We had to tip Ubers and taxis extra each time we got a ride back from town.

"The best stay in Cusco 😻"

10.0

One of the best stays ever! Muchas gracias a Rómulo and Helga! They keep the place in the best condition - great spacious rooms, new sheets and towels, perfect cleanliness, delicious and filling breakfast. Very cozy family hotel with a cute yard, two dogs and a cat 🙂 hot water available all the time, not like in most places in Cusco. The best is though the attitude of the owners - I had a couple of problems upon my arrival in Peru and Rómulo helped me out a lot to solve them. It was always great to chat to Helga in the mornings and evenings. Always helped me out to get a taxi when I needed it early. We also went on amazing tours to inka ruins, to la montaña de siete colores and to Manos de la comunidad with lots of llamas and alpacas, which was an unforgettable experience! When I am back in Cusco and Sacred valley, I will not even hesitate for second and will stay in Kosko casa hotel again 🙂 muchas gracias una vez más y espero que su hotel vaya a prosperar ❤️

Keep in mind that the hotel is located off the beaten track on the mountain, and sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge to get an Uber there. For me it was not a downside at all as I got the perfect sleep - it’s super quiet in the neighborhood unlike if you stay in Cusco city center.

Offer many options for breakfast

The room is quite cold, and hot water is not pretty hot. Honestly, I don't quite enjoy staying here.

It felt like being at home. Rómulo and Gelga weren’t just hosts they were like family. It was great to spend time with them. They made everything happen so we could have a nice stay. Thank you for everything. We will be back. Ps: It’s a little bit out of the center, but there is always an Uber taking you there. Or you can take a walk along the Inca trail and reach the city centre in just 20 min. It’s also just beside temple de la Luna, which is worth a visit.

The owners were like grandparents to our children - taking so much care to make them happy! Location close to the Moon temple is very nice, you can go for walks and horseback riding. We wanted to stay longer!

if you are a nature lover and enjoy hiking, this is the perfect place. It is above the city and next to a huge protected park that has the Inca Trail and many archeological ruins to explore. The rooms are large with most everything you need and the bed is very comfy. A hot water bottle is provided every night to warm up the bed as it is chilly at night. What makes the place special are the hosts, Romulo and Gelga. They are warm and charming and bend over backwards to make your stay memorable. Romulo can act as a tour guide since he is from there and knows the history, and he’s a lot of fun to be around. Gelga provides a great breakfast and makes you feel right at home. I recommend this hotel and hope to return in the near future.
