Wye Valley Lodge

Spacious and well equipped, suited three generations perfectly. Games room a hit with the boys and men. Balcony an asset. Well appointed for things to do and pubs to visit for food etc.

Garden overgrown so view through picture window spoiled. Steep steps up to the house. Parking ok only. Games console didn’t work and only part of a set of snooker balls.

Super comfy beds, games room, huge TV, decking area and balcony, stunning views, board games for kids, 3 bathrooms, great water pressure, very spacious, parts of house stay very cool on a hot day, well detailed guest information book, quick communication, quiet at night, location, location, location.

Leaving

The house is situated in a beautiful spot with stunning views, near to the river and nearby pubs. The house is spacious and the lounge/diner and decking area are great for groups. The games room was a hit and lots of fun was had with the pool table.

The house has a few internal steps that are easy to miss. The neighbours' dogs were very loud and territorial.

Garden not great for dog but it was fine as easy to pop out anyway.

Location was great, plenty of space for us all. Terrance was a great feature. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of cupboard space (fridge aside)Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Perfect for a visit to Symonds Yat. Would definitely recommend for groups of friends or families with older children and no mobility issues.

Few minor things fridge size if you have a large party with food and drink is probably on the small side( could there be another maybe in the utility somewhere). WiFi signal not great upstairs in some of the bedrooms. Top floor ensuite maybe somehow get a shower/shower attachment up there. All minor issues that didn't spoil our break.

Location was great , . Property was a great size for 4 different family groups , games room was a big hit , would deffinatly stop again as perfect for our needs , balcony was a great place to sit .

Would of been nice to have a welcome pack. Very noisy dogs next door. Dish washer was dirty so couldn’t use it.

Location, Pool table, the lodge is very big.

Internet very flakey, shower in main bathroom did not deliver hot water, luckily there was another shower.

Lovely setting and generous size for our family. Great facilities for little people, cot, bedsides and stairgate. The games room was a good bonus for nightly pool tournaments.

There were a few issues with the house. Hopefully they will be mended for future guests.
