Kings Head Hotel

Disgusting. Dirty. Unsafe. Owners are bullies. I had to call the police as they tried to throw my family out because I complained at the state of the kettle and lack of basic shower facilities. The landlord tried to break in. It was horrendous! See my review on trip advisor for full details- there wasn't enough characters in this box to leave the full horrendous, traumatic review.

Very nice stay, staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is very traditional and the rooms spacious but needed some TLC. For example half empty toiletries and no toilet roll. Overall though this is a nice and friendly pub hotel and great value for money with the bonus of nice staff. The food in the pub was great and good value for money and the hotel breakfast was equally as nice. We would stay here again if in the area

Kirbymoorside is a lovely town to visit. The Kings Head on first impressions looks a bit worn. However, the service was outstanding. The staff could not be kinder, helpful and so polite. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The menu is small, plus the daily board. But, the food was brillant. Breakfast is outstanding. Best hotel/pub i have been to in ages.

Very old and worn out hotel. Have stayed in other hotels in Kirkbymoorside which were wonderful. Disappointed especially as I had booked it for my Fiancé's Birthday☹️☹️

The location was close to where I was working. Arrival was fine. Pleasant greeting and shown to the flat. That’s where the positives ended.

I booked the flat. It was grubby and dingy. The kitchen was poorly stocked with utensils and the plug to the microwave didn’t have a back on it. Kitchen wasn’t open in the evening. No chef. Signs of things to come. I had breakfast booked. No signs of life when I went for breakfast. I paid for another breakfast somewhere else. I feel like I dodged a bullet there.
