Guests highly rate the great location and frequently praise the beautiful views.
GBAmazing setting by the sea. Very comfortable and well equipped for self catering. Couldn't have asked for more and made a perfect base close to the sea to explore the area and see great sunsets form our own front garden!
Nothing to be honest.

GBVery cosy, beautiful scenery, lovely walks , everything you need
Armstrong Cottage where we stayed I felt Privacy is spoiled with other residents going in and out the gate of your cottage some taking dogs with them to access laundry, we had our dog & couldn’t allow her access to the outside on her own due to this
GBThe properties main selling point is its location- central to Bamburgh and a path leading to down to the beach at the end of the drive.
There’s no one major issue but an accumulation of smaller areas of improvement. On approach to the Cottage assigned, Cuthbert, we were met by an old, battered front door and planters in need of some attention. Inside the accommodation is tastefully decorated with a coastal theme but areas have some instantly visible wear and tear suggesting maintenance is not aligned to how frequently the cottage is used. The dining table is full of chips in the paint and the side panel of the bath is wooden and rotting in parts. While generally clean, there were some significantly sized chains of dust hanging in the bedrooms and though the windows were closed on our arrival, the cottage was full of flies. As a self catering cottage, kitchen space for cupboard/pantry items is incredibly limited requiring us to relocate many items to the living room to make space for even just a few days worth of things for 2 adults. Lastly, the bathroom window provides a clear line of sight to the golf course immediately behind so we had to cover it with a towel to avoid being seen in the shower. Overall, while not a bad stay, the price is for the location. These cottages would not be first choice in the future.
GBThe location was amazing, looking across to the castle at the back and out to sea at the front. The cottage was dog friendly with a nice little yard that was great for the dogs to run around in and for us to sit out and have a lovely BBQ! The cottage was also well kitted out with everything you would need for cooking and lots of spare bedding and towels.

GBThe view from the bedroom and sitting room were amazing, bed was very comfy. Staff at hotel were accommodating, prosecco and shortbread was nice touch
1st thing you saw in room was a dirty, half full hoover and carpet was covered in stains. All the symbols at the oven were rubbed off at dials, light came on but no heat on any positions. No teabags/coffee or sugar sachets. Shower area was tiny and water trickled out, radiator needed bled and shaving mirror was totally unacceptable. Late check in 3pm, and very early check out, 9am. Cup rings and dust were clearly visible.
