The Horton Hotel

Loved the location.

It’s way over priced for what you get. Bar should stay open longer, should serve food.

I have stayed at the Horton Hotel several times and I always enjoy my stay here. The location is unbeatable and the deal I got on Booking.com was fantastic! The hotel staff is always very nice and the rooms are very comfortable. The beds, linens, bathrooms and housekeeping are all amazing!

The rooftop is small and gets very crowded. The bartender was unable to keep up.

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice rooftop bar, good breakfast, convenient location to access downtown.

The loading zone in front of the hotel stayed full, so we had to park in the hotel lot a block and a half away and carry our luggage, mostly uphill, to check in. We were awakened at about 5:30 am. by loud crashing noises outside the room . 10 minutes later, the garbage truck showed up outside our window. We ran out of hot water during the second shower. The breakfast area was understaffed. Our experience did not live up to the rate we paid. Some of these problems could be overlooked in a cheap hotel.

Bedroom was windowless

breakfast was great. Bar (off lobby and rooftop) was great. Our room was on the lower level next to the back door entrance where people enter after 10 or 11 when the main entry is locked. Very noisy through the night and should not be sold as a room.

It's a great hotel. Beautiful, old, excellent staff.

We were in a windowless basement room which while lovely, felt closed off. It was loud during the day from people walking in the lobby and it was nerve wracking when the fire alarm went off due to false alarm.
