The Horton Hotel

Location was good and breakfast was pretty good.

Overpriced and rude staff. Cleaners messed with my stuff. Parking area was uncovered and in a gravel lot. You can hear noise from floor above. No windows in the room. Have to wait to be served breakfast vs. just having out the food. Overpriced and disappointed.

Breakfast was delicious. Did not enjoy the location at all. My husband is disabled so could not cross streets , too much traffic and parking not good. No window in room.

Did not like the location of being so close to the college to much traffic.

Nice Location, comfortable and quiet

The booking states that breakfast is included. I received a $25 charge for Park & Pass which is for parking and breakfast. I did not use the parking and didn’t realize breakfast included required extra fees. Disappointed when hidden fees spoil my experience.

Love the esthetic I’ve been dying to stay here so glad i finally got a chance. The staff was great definitely will be back

No window in the room!!

Location

My room was located on the bottom floor between the stairs and the back exit. I was awaken both mornings at 6:45am by staff walking up and down the hall emptying trash, delivering laundry, and setting up breakfast on the floor above. It was far from the relaxing stay I had anticipated at a boutique hotel. The day I checked out, I cancelled a lunch date to immediately drive home...to take a nap!

Boone is a wonderful little mountain town. There are many big name hotel chains there. We are so glad we chose to stay at the Horton. The decor was modern-rustic with charm galore. Every staff member was super friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was perfect for a sunset cocktail with warm gas fire pits to fight off the chill. Our breakfast when we left was superb. The shower was luxurious. You can’t beat the location to downtown. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Breakfast was fantastic!

We had two different rooms for our party , one was a foot from the elevator with expected noise at all hours and both rooms were basement rooms without windows below the lobby / bar … we had no idea the rooms we booked were in a basement or without windows. We heard bar noise and chairs and walking around even after closing. Letting guests know they may be in a basement room without windows when they book should be obvious courtesy… we had two rooms booked well in advance for four nights…. And still ended up feeling very uncomfortable with the surprise we made the best of it however would not stay again unless we could reserve a room with windows that wasn’t underneath the hotel.
