Industrial Escape - Kelham Island, Free Parking & Walkable Bars

Location to the event we attended

It was freezing cold and the radiators took a while to turn on. It was difficult to open the door and it wasn’t clear which door was to the property. The whole place smelt of cannabis and there were some very obvious unclean areas such as the mirrors and shower.

The property location was excellent but the property was hard to find and required a number of phone calls to the host to gain access

There were no wine glasses and the rug that was in the living area was dangerous as the edges had curled and everyone was tripping and catching heals on it

None of the reviews mentioned the noise from the proximity to a major thoroughfare, and the lack of double-glazing to the windows. Sound insulation internally was also quite poor.

This might be generational. Kitchen could be better equipped - no corkscrew, cafetière, and some of the cooking utensils are not suitable for use on an induction hob.

Property looks brilliant in the advertisement, great location and parking but the property itself is not as shown

Water stains on all ceilings, LOTS of very visible MOULD inside the oven, ALL bedding old, worn, threadbare and full of “bobbling”. Shower full of mould, the loft room nothing more than a storage room which is dirty, unkempt and not finished. Staircase inside to loft room broken. Whole property needs a renovation and investment, terrible to expect paying guests to sleep in that disgusting bedding. The owner was rude and disrespectful, would not accept or acknowledge responsibility despite me having numerous photos and videos. Stay clear very disappointing

The location was perfect. Comfy beds and easy check-in.

More than one mirror in the property. A lot of the kitchen utensils did not work with the induction hobb, so are pretty useless. Only one oven dish for a property that sleeps 6 people is not enough.

Great location, and really clean. Plenty of room with comfortable sofa. The bathroom was great and the beds were comfortable

I didn’t like the steps up to the top bedroom , found them difficult to get up and down, should be on the description that they are more like a ladder than steps.
