Personal is very friendly and always ready to help ! Also it nice traditional design of hotel, it's amazing. Also very nice and delicious breakfast.

I didn't like that I checked in only in 1,5 day !!! Because they made a mistake so in my room was other people. I am brave, so wasn't so emotional, but other people would have hysteric in this situation... They put me in other hotel for 1,5 day which was awful and situation was stressful because I was very scared and I didn't feel safe because it happened at night . Also I didn't like that it was cold water in shower and wind in bathroom so i've got very ill. Also there was no toilet paper most of the time. Also didn't like that I couldn't pay by card. And there was a lot of problems with language, because there was only 1 staff who spoke English. Also I didnt like that I gave money to staff and they told me " we will give you change tomorrow ". It's unprofessional. But luckily we managed come to conclusion and I took my change the same day ( because I told that if you want to give me change tomorrow , so I will give you money tomorrow, so only then they agreed to give me change now :D)

Very nice and friendly staff. Convenient location. Cute guests. Beautiful view of the snow-capped mountains of the High Atlas from the terrace. Wonderful breakfasts!

The smell of damp (but it's the basement!) and low ceilings in the hostel lobby. Not bed (one of the two). However, the low price makes up for these shortcomings. Also, you have to be very careful when entering the hostel from the street so you don't break your neck on the stairs.

Good for the price.

Out of four nights I slipped at the hostel I was moved three times a room and had some of my things that I left in my locked room thrown out by the cleaning people after they moved me a room without telling me

Read my review of Hostel Essassi from previous two nights. This property has at least 2 names on booking.com & sadly not a sign on the street.

If staying in shared bathroom rooms in basement pay close attention to that first step when entering from street.Its a 'doozey!!!' Property did not meet my expectations as hot water did not work.

Rooftop room that opened onto fantastic terrace. The rooftop room was well insulated, warm at night and cool during the day without AC. The breakfast was very tasty. (But I was told this room was actually part of the essassi hotel not the sassi hostel)

The location on Gmaps is wrong. The hotel is on the main street opposite the tall walls of the palace a few doors down from the corner. No signs. Noisy when other people were using the terrace. I organised to extend my stay a few days the next day at 1130 got told there was no room they then tried to get me to use a friends hotel that did not look nice. The location behind the Bahia palace isn't great and the surrounding streets are full of con men telling you the road is closed and trying to get you to follow them.

Nothing, Left early! no running water, original booking wasn't the hotel I stayed in, taken around another 2 before turning up to a place, I don't know how to describe it. I've never left a negative comment on booking.com with multiple bookings over the years. I've stayed in better prison cells in my younger days. 0/10. I want my money back, I'll be back in Marrakesh next week. I want my money & tax paid at the property. Wouldn't recommend anyone stay with these people...

Decent breakfast

Reading previous reviews, I kinda expected a basement room with no external window, though you’d think they’d fix the other stuff… I arrive at the hostel for my check-in, the address was wrong, a neighbour showed me the place. knocked on the door for 15 mins, finally the cleaning lady opened the door, and had no idea about anything. I was at the reception with 3 other guests who came in later. I called twice from my own mobile costing me £6!!! when he finally picked up, he was standoffish and hang up in my face!!!! after 50 minutes he turns up and didn’t even say sorry but he started complaining that it’s not his shift anyway… I was absolutely fuming. He was so rude to me, shouted at the cleaning lady to clean my room that turned out it’s no clean and here I wait another hour!!! he said he’ll get me a towel but never did. As for the beds, dirty smelly beddings, the broken toilet next to my room and stink, I’d leave that for some other unlucky guest to write about.
