The staff was friendly when she was there.

The room was not cleaned for a while it seemed. Lots of spiderweb. The bed was like so soft you got your as in the floor. The toilet leaked Water on the floor. The shower did not work and it was not staff there in the morning around 7. Breakfest was served really late. To late. Would not recomend this for staying over. Did not try the food.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room clean and perfectly adequate for my requirements. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal. A bonus is that food is served all day from noon. There is a separate restaurant area, and the bar has all the personality of a traditional village pub

Very friendly and helpful landlord and staff. Food was really excellent and bed comfortable. Also one of the best value beds available in the area. This is a lovely locals' pub.

Sorry to repeat some of the other feedback, but while the bed was great, the bathroom in our room 3 anyway really needs some attention. And yes you may need a eye mask because of the green safety safety light. But renovating an old building like this must be tough.

Warm and welcoming staff and locals, in an excellent location, would stay again.

The beds were comfortable, and the twin room setup allowed privacy.

Room was large enough. Pizza was great. Breakfast items were good quality.

Room needed updating, there were cobwebs on windows, floors were uneven, boxes at bottom of stairs. We weren't told there wasn't food on Sunday evenings when sign outside said 'Food all day everything day'. It's usual to have a charge for breakfast that includes cereals, fruit juice, cooked breakfast, toast and jam, and drinks - here you had to pay separately which could work out expensive if you had the lot although no cereals available.
