Lemon Tree Lanai

The property was in the beautiful rain forrest and surrounded by flowers, trees and fruit trees.

This is a cute place, out in the rural rainforest at 1,500 ft elevation. Site is green and hidden away, away from the main road. There is a lanai, a small sitting room, a bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a bathroom.

There were insects and I got a number of bug bites.

Really lovely Lanai in a jungle. Great location and exactly as advertised. Doug was really organised with clear instruction and provides really helpful guidebook on arrival. Olu, Figgy and the frogs were dreamy :)

Nous avons adoré la véranda et le magnifique jardin tropical. C'était agréable de passer nos soirées à écouter le bruit de la nature et le concert des grenouilles. Notre hôte Doug a été très réactif quand nous avons eu un problème ! L'emplacement est parfait pour visiter le parc national des volcans, et les alentours de Hilo.

I came for episode 31 of the ongoing eruption of Kileaua. The remote check-in allowed me to come late, then leave almost immediately for HVNP, where I spent much of the next 24 hours. After the eruption, I needed the comfy bed. I relaxed, serenaded by the coquis and sound of intermittent rain drops.

I would have appreciated a bit more forewarning about the rough stretch of road.
