It was very conveniently located to what we wanted and absolutely easy to get to Volcano Park. Was perfect for our 2 night stay. Not glorious but definitely fine and fit for purpose.

Kitchen is basic but had no problems cooking small meal. It’s nice and private and we slept well.

The place was very well stocked. The location is a bit off the beaten path and made you feel like you were in the rainforest. Easy drive and close to VNP.

+ : host is a kind person with a good heart, location is 20min by car from Volcano Park, Lanai is nice and the garden is cute. Fresh flowers and fruits were waiting for us inside. - : cleanliness was a big turnoff : dead bugs inside the bedroom, stained and unclean blanket, mold on the bedroom pillows and curtains, mold on the bathroom curtain, food crumbs under night stand, dust, a terrible smell inside (a mix of poorly dried laundry, sweat, humidity, mold) which was also present in the towels and bed linen. Consequently even after taking a shower, our bodies will smell this odor. Also, the black&white dog was barking at us while we were in the lanai and at night. We tried to make friends by giving him some treats but didn’t change anything. It succeeded to escape and came on our side of the garden, which made us uncomfortable. Doug came quickly to take it home. We also had an issue with the water at the beginning , no hot water to shower. Doug came to fix it quickly.

It is in a jungel, which is amazing. The terrace was the best, as you can sit in a jungel sourranding you, but be in a comfort, and the best idea to have a kitchen there, outside of the house. For three people it is a bit of compromise, but we had a good company.

The property was just lovely, we really enjoyed all aspects of it. The night sounds were amazing to fall asleep to and the gentle rain in the mornings was also enjoyed. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of our host, Doug, as he was very pleasant and helpful. The property has been well thought out and all of our needs were met or exceeded.

There wasn't anything we didn't like :)

Absolutely great stay, authentic, great experience. We loved the dogs Figgy Newton and Oluolu.

Maybe noisy frogs, but that's part of the place.
