The Hall Estate - Historic Grade I-listed Jacobean Mansion

We were delighted with the choice of breakfast. The whole location - the Hall and the grounds were stunning.

We liked everything about the property.

Fantastic to be able to stay in a Jacobean mansion. It wasn’t possible to tour the house during our visit, although the ground floor rooms were open on our arrival. The grounds were interesting but have been neglected for many years. We loved being able to come and go through the side gate in the wall straight into the middle of the town - quite spooky returning in the dark using only our phone torches with the view of the looming mansion above us

Breakfast was a hamper which was very disappointing. More local produce would have been good, something other than a jar of Special K and a croissant. No fresh fruit although yoghurts were provided. The room more than made up for the less than spectacular breakfast.

Slapen in historisch erfgoed in een prachtig landgoed is een unieke ervaring. Het was er bijzonder rustig , ik vermoed dat wij de enige gasten waren, dus voelden we ons even de de Lord and Lady of the house...

Het was uitzonderlijk mooi weer , het zou wel een pluspunt geweest zijn konden we buiten ontbijten in de tuin. Nu was het ontbijt op de kamer, wat reeds klaar stond bij onze aankomst. Hoog tijd ook dat de Engelsen in het algemeen de voldoening van goede koffie leren kennen.

The room was nice.

Bathroom was not connected, felt like some one could come in. Bathroom water pressure was awful!!! No fresh air.

Loved the location, the room had everything we needed, it was lovely and cosy, they left an breakfast hamper with everything in and the wine was a bonus

Third visit in past year. Absolutely lovely and quite quirky. Feels like being Lord and Lady of the manor.

There was nothing not to like.

The building was stunning and the location is very close to the town centre. There were some breakfast bits left in the room for us which was very thoughtful

The house is old so if you have allergies it might not be the best fit

We didnt have any human contact, breakfast was yoghurt Croissants granola all left, milk and water in fridge with a couple cans of drink. It was absoluetly ok
