Royal Hideaway Playacar All-Inclusive Adults Only Resort

The staff really makes this place special! This was our second mini-family reunion - it was wonderful to see the same faces.

The only issue we had was with other hotel guests - a noisy group of older adults who insisted on being loud, which got worse as the day progressed. Fortunately, the resort has several secluded pools so we were able to relax.

The beachfront was incredible!! Plenty of chairs and umbrellas and someone was always there to take your drink/food order. The entire staff were very friendly and accommodated anything we wanted/needed. The food was incredible, drinks were also good and my fiance felt like they were strong!! The best place to eat was either the hibachi at the Azia or the steak and empanadas at the Grill. Our villa concierge was also very friendly and helpful.

These are very small things in comparison to the great time we had! We wished the slider door & window had screens, we wished the property had a hot tub for a late night soak and the jets in the bath tub didn’t work. Either than that, we had a wonderful time!

Cleanliness, housekeeping, friendly staff, beautiful beach and ocean, high quality beverages, ease of access, aqua gym, the concierge David in villa 30 was extremely knowledgeable.

Not much nightlife, lack of simple food options, lack of open poolside chairs, slow room service, lack of English television channels and streaming access.

This was my first all inclusive holiday and Royal Hideaway didn't disappoint. The hotel is beautiful and rooms and bed are great. There was plenty of choice of food for us. I would recommend eating at Spices for breakfast rather than at the buffet.

I wish we hadn't had to rely on the concierges to book the restaurants, would be good to be able to pre book online yourself. There isn't much entertainment, it seems a shame to only use the huge theatre twice a week.

Beautiful location breakfast daily with a view by the beach. The staff was always happy to help. Room service was amazing.

Food! Very poor quality of food everywhere. Besides that every day same menu for breakfast-lunch. Dinner time in the restaurants also a very poor quality of food and a very little portions. Also formal dress code is not needed there. Property definitely needs renovation. Hotel in a bad condition. We would give 3 star not 5.

The location on the beach and proximity to town was perfect. We were able to enjoy the comforts and amenities at the resort and explore the area easily. We also enjoyed the amount of food options at the resort. They provided a delicious and beautiful stay. We also were very impressed by the kind and friendly staff who were fun to meet and extremely helpful.
