Laurel Point Resort

We loved it! It was close enough to Gatlinburg where you could get there in 2-3 minutes but also far enough away from the crowd. We will absolutely stay here next time we go to Gatlinburg! I do have one small suggestion though..when we checked in after driving for 7 hours and it was 630pm. We were all ready to get to the room. The very sweet lady checking us in was trying to sell timeshares and other things to people checking in. It just wasn’t the time. There were two people in front of us so the check in took probably 25 minutes. Again she was a beautiful lady with great energy but we just wanted to unpack and start our vacation :)

Location is great. We usually love staying at Laurel Point. However, we were in a different building than usual and things were not the same as we are used to.

The dishwasher would not close or turn on. We spent entirely too much time and effort trying to make it work. The twin beds were horrible. They made so much noise and were so hard! My 6 year old said it smelled like vomit when she got into her bed. The bedrooms were so drafty.. it was freezing at night in both bedrooms and we could never get them warmed up and did not have enough blankets to keep warm.

Proximity to other areas

No towel service on Friday and Saturday.

The staff. The staff is fantastic and so helpful.

Dated and we went with our three kids and both the game room and playground were out of order. In my opinion, capital vacations grossly overcharged me and did not deliver on the room and amenities in their ad.

The view of the mountain was awesome
