"Beautiful relaxing stay at a small boutique hotel with private villas and a luxury good service feel and good dinnning e"

9.0

Exceptional private location beach on small island with nicely maintained and clean property with tropical gardens, private villas well designed. Snorkeling off beach and at a beach a 25 min walk away. Will coordinate experiences tours adventures for you. Great chef and food preparation was excellent. Week taken care of during stay. They assign a specific concierge to you for your stay.

We never really had hot showers in room. Other guests with same problem. Likely due to propane supply. If you don’t get a package plan and just purchase room, charges for food and drinks can add up.

"Beautiful location, gorgeous villa, lovely staff."

8.0

The location and the facilities were perfect. We had such a relaxing stay. It was so quiet. The outlook is amazing and the water is incredible. The staff are happy and know your name from the first day.

The lack of food choice and the cost for quantity. Very limited choices for a vegan and given the location my husband expected more seafood on the menu. No other alternative but to eat at the resort. The Wednesday night buffet was very overpriced for what was offered.

"The perfect getaway for a relax in a truly beautiful environment."

10.0

The Moso is a beautiful boutique resort isolated from the hustle and bustle of typical tourist attractions. We loved the care and attentiveness of the staff, all local villagers who were such a delight. The resort is environmentally sustainable with potable water on tap, no plastics, and runs predominantly on solar.

Nothing to not like.

"Hilltop Villa"

8.0

The views were amazing. The villa pool was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable and the villa was clean and tidy. Food was good both in the restaurant and room service. It was a nice place to relax and unwind for 3 nights.

When I booked this villa, I actually thought it was on the beach, not up on top of a big hill. Maybe a bit more clarification before booking as to where each villa is located would be good. The fan in the room was very slow with little power, so I was grateful it wasn't very hot when I was there mid April. No Air-con. The bushes could be trimmed back a bit so you can see the amazing view while sitting down outside or while in the pool.

"Lovely and pleasant place"

7.0

Most of the staff at The Moso was absolutely lovely - special thanks to Nunes who helped a lot with answering to our questions, helping with the room, booking transfers and activities, accompanying for kava night, etc. He was always happy to help, exceeding our expectations for front desk staff. Also thanks to Eveline and Amelia from the bistro - it was very nice chatting to them and they were really accommodating and helping with meals and dietary requirements. GF food was relatively easy to arrange. One of the owners (Antoun) was around and we had few nice chats with him - it was good to see owner actually actively participating in resort operations. Absolutely stunning view from hilltop villa terrace. Good snorkeling, especially on Eton beach or on one of the reefs further from the shore (need boat driver to drop off there, thanks Jerry for organizing that). People at local village is absolutely lovely and friendly, lots of chats and stories, and they can even cook local food (if you ask prior). Meals are mostly good, reasonably sized and priced.

From desk staff (except Nunes who was absolutely perfect) need enhanced training in hospitality and below are few examples which could've been handled nicer in my opinion. On a first day, we decided to walk to the nearby village, but were chased by Fredi who told us that village visits are not allowed and we need to buy a tour if we want to visit village, which was absolutely untrue based on information pack provided in the room and chats to Antoun and other staff. On one of the days, we booked early morning (6AM) boat trip to the beach on the other side with breakfast, but on the day we were told that chef is not there yet so we either wait or depart without food (does it really require chef to cook poached eggs and toasts?). And the boat was late too, what we found out later boat driver was only informed on the morning and rushed to pick us up (poor Jerry who started work without having breakfast). On arrival back to the resort, we noticed other guests also waiting for the boat to start their delayed journey. Later on the day, we had sunset cruise booked but again boat was late, cheese platter was not suitable (non-GF) and we only spent half on the planned time on water. Cruise itself is terrible banana boat ride on wobbling chairs without seeing sunset itself. On the day of our departure, our transfer was booked for 1PM so we were planning to have lunch and relax a bit before trip to the airport. On the day of departure, we found out that we were placed with other departing guests at 12PM which was not only too early (Port Vila airport is the worst place to spend your free time if you arrive early), but lunch was only served from 12PM. So, we insisted we depart as planned, so front desk moved both our and other guests departure to 1PM. That made other guests worried about their flight as they could've been late. We ended up rushing our lunch and even packing part of it and overall ended with stressed and rushed departure.

"Pleasant"

6.0

Lovely location, staff were lovely. Pools were nice.

Unfortunately limitations with food as not much available on the menu due to food shortages. and the provided hamper on booked day trips was underwhelming for the money paid. Massage paid good money wasn’t very professional and no working fan in the room or music played. When paying the bill things weren’t added and asked a day prior for running bill. Better screening on the windows to limit bugs would have been nice in the rooms and specifying when booking no aircon. Communication could have been better with staff. Owners were lovely and are really trying to create a beautiful adults only resort.
