The whole building / room was beautiful, the staff were helpful and the food was made with love.

I'm short so I couldn't get out of the bath-but that's not their fault!

There was a small private patio garden attached to my room (“The Garden Room”) which was a welcome surprise during the current heat-wave. Lovely for an evening drink and morning coffee.

There was no breakfast provision - although I knew this in advance, it was still a disappointment considering the price of the room. The bathroom window had no curtain or blind but faced a public pavement - frosted glass provided totally insufficient privacy when the light was on at night. The room floor space was a little compact - I was only a single guest, but 2 people would have been very crowded.

It was quiet and away from Gloucester itself but an easy 20 minute walk Restaurant and bar very good

It's an interesting and pleasant place to stay. Keypad check-in so we didn't really meet any staff other than people behind the bar downstairs. Location: it's a 30 minute walk through countryside into the docks area of Gloucester. The room was pleasant but was quite warm when we arrived and maybe a better or an extra fan would be needed during hot weather. There is a fridge but it was difficult to access and needs a board or similar under it to raise it up and make opening it feasible. Parking was free and straightforward.

Satnav had problems finding the right way to access the property.
