Ella chanidu Inn

- Beautiful view from the balcony, really peaceful and I watched the train passing a few times - Lovely breakfast - Relatively quiet, 10 min walk from the edge of Ella but torch definitely required - Owner organised a taxi to my next destination with a nice English speaking driver at a reasonable cost

- I asked for breakfast at 07:30 and I was told that’s too early - Charged expensive tourist prices when owner offered to take me to see a waterfall. I expected to pay something but he did not mention that the cost for the “service” was 12000 SLR until afterwards. He ran lots of errands whilst we were travelling back which would’ve been fine had I not been paying so much for the experience. Really disappointing, I would’ve organised alternative transport and spent more time there instead of hurrying the visit too. - Communication slightly difficult due to limited English - Fridge didn’t work - The floor wasn’t very clean - Lighting and clear signage outside would help in finding the property at night

The view is beautiful, you can even see the train passing by. Super clean, the property is managed by a lovely local family. The breakfast is delicious

It can be noisy, but if you bring your sleeping earplugs it's fine

Exceptional views. The climate is cold and nice, the breakfast is yummy. The host is very helpful. Value for money. Very clean and tidy, just on the road. Will visit again.

The view is incredible, family are lovely and the beds are really comfortable. Perfect!

The view from the balcony is amazing, also you can see the train passing by. The people who run the place are super helpful and friendly. I opted in for breakfast and it was delicious and really good value for money too! The place is 15 minute walk from Ella center and the road is full of beautiful tea plantations.

The hotel is close to a big road so you hear all the traffic but it wasn't a big deal for me 😊

We stayed just one night as being on the journey across Sri Lanka. But room we stayed was the best during 10 days in this country. Very new, clean, modern and comfortable. Big bathroom and two big beds. There is a balcony with an amazing view on rain forest with mist in the morning. We asked for early breakfast which is served on the balcony. Quality and size of breakfast was perfect and all was delicious. Owners were very supportive and took care of us. Walking distance to the Center of Ella. Highly recommend stay in this place
