Ella chanidu Inn

The view from the room is gorgeous! And it’s lovely that you can sit and enjoy it. The bathroom was clean.

The property is actually quite hard to find, especially if arriving in the evening. We had to have our driver call the owner for instructions on where to find the place. There is a tiny sign out the front which is easily missed. On arrival the room seemed very nice, however once you got settled it was obvious that the room hadn’t been cleaned very well which is a shame. The sheets were dirty and the pillows smelt like sweat. The towels definitely were not clean either. The whole room smelt like damp and we were freezing during the night. We hardly got any sleep due to the dog that was barking all night long. When we spoke to the owner in the morning he said it was because people feed the street dogs so they come back and bark for attention, so it’s something to keep in mind. Theres also basically no sound proofing, you can hear people in the room next to you.

The views and tranquillity were stunning. It was a 10 min walk from Ella train station mostly through tea plantations - it is well worth the walk, there is a short but steep hill on way back into town which we loved for the exercise, but plenty of tuk tuks going past if you don’t fancy the walk. The place is family run and hosts are lovely. It is exceptionally clean. We opted in to breakfast and it was a trip highlight- sitting out on balcony with view. Wifi was intermittent but we didn’t mind that as allowed kids to disconnect and read. Family room is great.

The property was located 10 min outside of Ella, which was easily reachable by foot. The view was absolutely amazing. The owners always tried to help when we had a problem and the even asked us to rent a scooter or tuk tuk. Breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately we had many insects in our apartment and it wasn’t ventilated the best.

Breathtaking view and delicious breakfast! There is also refrigerator and kettle in the room free for your use😊

The wifi was not working most of the time plus the room could have been a little bit cleaner🙁

It got an amazing view to enjoy. The rooms were very hygiene. Family room got an bath tub too

It would have been if they provided the breakfast too for that price.
