Boat was so cosy, with pretty fairy lights, fireplace (and provided with materials for it) and fun sailing theme throughout. It was clean and had everything you need.

The location is a great hub area, but just bare in mind you are surrounded by apartments and public can easily look into the boat, it is not so private, unless pull down blinds.

It was warm and cosy.. it was a new experience for me staying on a narrowboat. Loved it.

A quirky little barge with all the necessary items provided along with completely tea, coffee, sugar, bread and shower gel. Ideally located next to the city centre and only five minutes walk from the Multiplex.

We found the barge tidy however…..the laundry didn’t smell clean & fresh and we found hairs on the duvet and pillows. The bathroom floor was uneven and felt unstable. The kitchen surface opposite the sink was very dusty …no doubt from the fire. The gas boiler was very noisy and didn’t heat barge sufficiently however a small fan heater was provided.

The boat was located about a 6 minute walk from Chelmsford Town centre. The owner had left some bread and butter and various jams for our use.

One of the duvet sets supplied was wet which while not a problem for us if we had been a group of four people it could have been. The owner did live locally though, so I'm sure it would have been sorted without problem.
