Unique Narrowboat in Town Centre Chelmsford Essex

The toilet was quite smelly

It was really dirty . My baby was picking up clumps of long hair. The toilet had hair all over it so did the shower. It smelt awful. The fridge looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I never slept all night. My partner disinfected parts but I just didn’t feel comfortable at all. The toilet overflowed and it had carpet down so that was soaked all day and night so had to put my shoes on when I got up to use it .

It wasn’t very well equipped but maybe that was my inexperience with boats

Very sweet, lovely hideaway in the heart of Chelmsford. Had a very pleasant evening making supper and drying out after a wet cycle ride, in front of the woodburner. The bed (which we had to put up ourselves - the dining table and benches convert into a bed, but it's easy to do) was very comfortable.

Nothing. It was central to Chelmsford.

It was absolutely filthy. Smelt of damp & stale gas. Everything was dirty, bathmat had dirty footprints on it. We stayed 5 minutes and then we left.

A really lovely discovery in the heart of Chelmsford city centre. Cosy, convenient and very central. Will be booking again.

A little cramped (but you do have to remember that it is a narrow boat!) and we did not understand how the beds and bedding worked at first, but once we got the hang of it, we really enjoyed our stay. Great fun!
