We've always admired and wondered what it was like to "live" on a narrowboat, and it was super fun to have had the opportunity during our trip to England! The owner had great communication prior to our stay, which made the self "check-in" seamless, and he covered all the details we would need for our stay! The boat had everything we needed, the beds were easy to convert, and we had a warm and cosy night! Location was also great, very near the city centre and all the shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Parking on arrival was tricky as we had 2 kids and all our suitcases, and we had to pull into the parking lot of an apartment complex and very quickly unload. But that was unavoidable, and we managed it just fine. Owner also provided details on where we could park our car safely for the night.

lovely boat. so great to stay somewhere for work which wasn’t a hotel. everything I needed on board. seeing the swans next to the boat was a highlight!

it was a bit cold but better when I had the wood burner on
