"Perfect short break in the highlands"

The staff were excellent and would go that one step further for you The lodge was perfect and with the sauna and spa bath in your lodge you felt very spoiled. The restaurant was of a high standard. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The location was just perfect as you can visit many place's without too much hassle. The scenery was breathtaking Will definitely be back.

The property was clean and tidy . On arrival we did spot an issue with the fridge which was quickly resolved by the maintenance team.

Everything about the actual property is brilliant. The 3 bed lodge we stayed in was large, comfortable and the bedrooms/bathrooms were the perfect set up for the 6 of us to use as a base for hillwalking in the area during the day, and to enjoy food and drinks together in the evening. The restaurant and bar area is also very nice (with attentive and friendly staff) and while we didn't use the pool etc. those facilities were clearly good too.

In short: the check in experience. We requested early check in when booking, but totally understood when an (automated) email came back saying they couldn't guarantee this, so please call 24 hours before arrival. I did this, and a very nice man checked our booking and confirmed that - since our lodge was not being occupied the night before our arrival - we would be fine to arrive around 2pm (standard check in is 4pm). We were therefore quite surprised to be told by a (different) receptionist on arrival that not only would we not be getting in until 4pm, there was no way anyone would have told us different. We honestly didn't care about having to wait a bit (we were very happy to use the restaurant and bar facilities while we waited!) but to effectively be called a liar when there was another guest waiting behind us in the queue really wasn't great and soured the arrival a bit.
