Broadway’s Canterbury City Escape

2 of us got a lot of bed bug bites from the bed in the bedroom next to living room. also lift wasn't working and apartment is on 2nd floor

The apartment is in great location, 8 minute walk to town. The apartment is big spacious & has everything you need, the bed in the second room was the softest most comfy bed ever. Yes it may need a little lick of paint, but doesn't ever home, you will always get wall scratches & touch up areas. It does not affect the use of the apartment, check in and communication were great, facilties & it was perfect for our over night stay. Would definitely stay again & recommend

Lift was broken, but apartment was only 2nd floor so no big deal, but this review wanted me to write a "what didn't I like"

Location was ok.

Lift didn’t work and had not worked for months according to a tenant. This meant that we had to climb 5 flights of stairs plus a steep incline from the car park each of us with a 20kg suitcase plus hand luggage as we had come from overseas. This amounts to false advertising by the owners. We only booked the place because of the lift as I’ve recently had a knee replacement and heart surgery. Ensuite shower is very dangerous and should not be used as the only setting is super hot and burnt my arm. My partner, a doctor, managed my burn. Floor boards are lifting and are a trip hazard. Instructions to access property are inaccurate and owner was rude when I phoned. There’s a big hole in the ensuite wall which is somewhat scary. Ensuite vanity mirror is unusable for anyone under 166cms in height (5 feet 6 inches). Freezer drawers are broken.

Location perfect, host extremely helpful, apartment clean, spacious and comfortable just what we needed. Perfect, will definitely book again

We had to hunt around a bit for the correct space in the car park to find the keys but once we discovered them all was great. There's a lift to the apartment which was very handy. Lovely quiet space which was well appointed. Really comfy and stylishly presented place.

Location was great.

Only double beds. Too small. One room had bed up against wall so you had to climb over your partner to go to the bathroom in the night. The instructions to access the property were not clear and it took a while for us to get in. Also lift was not working and we had to cart our luggage up four flights of stairs ... not good.

Location. Spacious. Very generous with the supplied toiletries.

Had to unblock shower trap. Lift didn't work and hadn't been working for some time according to permanent residents. Quality of bedding not great. Mismatched towels. Missing access hatch in the ensuite.

Great location and value for money
