Beautiful holiday flat in Alnwick

Great location. Comfortable & clean. Nice bed linens & towels. Parking disc provided & maps & bus timetables provided. Generous amount of tea, coffee etc and a fab welcome of milk & biscuits.

Some items needed in the kitchen eg a jug, better corkscrew. Not deal breakers as most people will eat out.

Parking was a bit of a pain but not landlords fault

A lovely flat, right in the centre of Alnwick. It is well presented, clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee and milk was provided and Morrisson's is just a three minute walk away. It is good value for money and we would highly recommend it. No parking onsite, but the parking was manageable with a bit of moving between the street and long stay car park.

Not easy to find. It was incredibly noisy at night. We stayed Thursday to Sunday and each night, a large people gathered outside a pub within the vicinity, shouting etc until approximately 1.30am. I don't know if this is a regular occurrence or a special weekend with events on at the pub. Parking is limited to 2 hours only between 8am and 6pm. We were out a lot of this time so it wasn't a problem. There is a free, long stay carpark a short walk away behind Morrison's.

We had an issue with tv remote,changed the batteries but still an issue,could possibly be the remote,an easy fix im sure

The property is centrally located for Alnwick and the Castle & Castle Gardens are within walking distance. Other attractions such as Lindesfarne, Farne island tours (@ Seahouses), Bamford Castle etc are all with 30-40mins. The flat is clean and has most of the facilities you would want. The bed is comfortable, TV a good size and the furniture is of a good quality. Parking was fairly easy and FREE by using the disc parking and a local free 24 hour car park.

The main problem we had was the overnight temperature was hot & the bell tower is literally 100 metres from the open bedroom window. This chimes every 15 mins. Would not be an issue if the flat was rented outside the hot summer months. Another minor problem is that it is on the 2nd floor with no lift. This is clearly stated in the details but it is a trek with several days worth of bags to move.

The location was fantastic - so central and lots of lovely places to visit and great pubs and restaurants

Plenty of room in lounge/bedroom .

Facilities are limited with no cooking utensils for the oven and no spatula for fry up or egg holders . Also no deep freeze on fridge . This is a nicely decorated flat albeit with a strange set up . No bedside table and lamp to one side of bed resulting in having to leave main light on to read for one side and no where for phone/morning tea etc . The main issue was the clocktower opposite which chimes every half hour throughout the night resulting in lack of sleep due to single glazing . Also parking arrangements quite convoluted with discs having to move car at 6am . Although in town centre there was not much noise from pubs etc . Would return to Alnwick but not here .
