River View House Cleveland Bridge

Fantastisk beliggenhed og virkelig charmerende lille hus i 3 plan. Vi boede der i 3 overnatninger og var 4 personer i alt. Vil helt sikkert anbefale denne perle og kan sagtens finde på at vende tilbage hertil😃

The location of the house on a bridge was unusual, and we liked the location around the property. The house is quirky being an old Toll house, and we liked that aspect of it. The patio overlooking the river is really the highlight of the property, particularly if you have good weather which we did so could sit outside. Its about a 20 minute walk into the main areas of Bath and about the same from the station. I would advise anyone with luggage to get a taxi there

Although the property description said it was on 3 floors, we did not expect quite as many stairs, and I think this should be pointed out a bit more particularly for older people staying there. The sitting room is on the floor where you come in and the kitchen down 2 flights of stairs, it was fine for us as we sat outside most of the time, but in winter it could be an issue carrying everything up to the sitting room. The kitchen equipment is a bit sparse, there were only 3 teaspoons and the frying pan has seen much better days, could do with a new one. Being on a bridge it is quite noisy. Although we enjoyed our stay, it is not somewhere we would book again. The toilet in the en suite broke on our first night there which was inconvenient and the shower was cold. However, we contacted Georges and he came immediately and fixed the toilet and also turned up the thermostat for the hot water the next day, so it was fine for our last day.

Really interesting building in a great location next to the river. The terrace at the back is really nice, being able to sit next to the water. Despite being right next to the bridge, we were untroubled by road noise, either sat out or inside. The facilities are very good with nice bathrooms and a good sized kitchen. Everything we needed for our stay was there. It is only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bath, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk, plus a supermarket nearby.

Wouldn't really describe this as not liking, but we were staying during a heatwave which meant that we could not sit on the terrace in the afternoon/evening because it is in direct sunlight. A parasol would have helped in that regard.

A specious and charming apartment next to the river; having all necessary house/kitchen facilities. Love the backyard, the river & hill views are amazing! Travel map, guidebook, and restaurant recommendations are also provided~

Some small flying insects at night (it’s expectable as the house is right nearby the river) - But the host has provides the insect killer spray, which is great👍🏻

A charming historic house with modern comfort on the river, 8 minutes away from Bath center.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

Location excellent.

Needed to ask for a couple of items to be fixed. George’s assistance was prompt and friendly. Perhaps some more regular ongoing maintenance checks might not be a bad idea.

The house is very unique and in a lovely position. Great location and had everything we needed.
