CityStays Rooms with Free Parking

It needs better cleaning, painting and refreshing, it is 30 min walk to center, on street free parking but i wasnt to sure how safe the car will be..

Where it was

Power cut and no water when we woke up on check out day unable to have shower weren’t offered any alternative also they didn’t even give us any bottled water so we could at least brush our teeth and have a cold water wash asked for partial refund which they refused very poo customer service

The property was clean and had nice white cotton sheets and also a kettle with tea, coffee, milk etc sachets and two mugs. The location though it didn’t look the nicest area, was not too far from the city centre and was walkable, though we used an Uber at times. We can’t comment on staff as we never met any staff member or saw anyone se in the building. The lady was pleasant though when I rang about gaining access.

The bed although having nice sheets and duvet, wasn’t too comfy, though we realise this is a more budget accommodation and for two nights it was fine…we didn’t obviously expect 4-5 star standards!. We thought the free parking perhaps meant a small carpark belong to the accommodation, though it was street parking and amongst litter over the street. We don’t know Liverpool but took it this was a run down area. One thing we would suggest was perhaps black out blinds or curtains as the vertical cream blinds let light in (with it now getting lighter in a morning) and let street lights shine through, so the room was never dark really, so we struggled to sleep. The most annoying thing, which is not any fault of the host at all is the fact on the Saturday night (2nd May), in the early hours of the Sunday…3-4am other inconsiderate guests were so noisy, screaming, shouting, swearing and talking very loudly at tops of their voices, clearly wearing heels on the wooden floors, stomping back and forth outside our room door. They must have gone upstairs as we could then hear them, or one person in walking about on we guessed wooden floors above us. This went on for hours, even when we got up at 7am, this noise was still going on!. So really it ruined our stay in the city as we were absolutely exhausted Sunday. We wished we had paid more and stayed where previously stayed Premier Inn at Albert Dock!.

Clean & presentation was lovely, perfect for our short break.
