Slow Living Guesthouse and Hostel

Slow living hostel have a “house vibe” what makes you feel at home straight away, Asanka the host is a storyteller, and he is a central piece of this experience making sure, really sure, that everything is perfect for you! Really easy to meet other travelers and share nice moments also, I really enjoyed my staying there and would stay again in a blink of an eye!

I liked everything

Great hostel experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the stay even more enjoyable. Our dorm had only three people, which made it quiet and comfortable. The shared bathroom was cleaned regularly, ensuring a pleasant stay. Highly recommend!

Super friendly and very easy to socialise and make friends very open and relaxed

Quite hard beds. Hit and miss wether AC helps that much and very loud with train and construction

The group, vibe, place was just soo nice! Definitely more slow living than the fancy and party hostels in the area; this place is more to create connections and live more of a local experience. The owner is super nice, sociable and cooks dinners for anyone if you want. Facilities are spacious, nice and clean.

The bed was not so comfortable, had a hole on my shoulder so had to turn around to sleep well.

Amazing people, human connection and experience

Great family, great atmosphere. They make you feel like home. The location was also perfect for me - you are close to several surf spots as well as the bars and restaurants of Ahangama and midigama, but you are not right at the spot.

Many people will decide to stay longer, which is a great sign, but can also lead to a bit of a chaotic situation as the overview of who's staying for how long may get lost a bit. But they always sorted it out somehow :-)
