The Foulsyke Licensed Bed and Breakfast Scalby Scarborough

What a beautiful place to stay! We came to attend a wedding nearby and stayed for 3 nights. We travel a lot and carefully researched nearby accommodation and couldn't have chosen a more quaint perfect b&b. Each room was a delight, a true taste of English culture from the stunning decor to the carefully chosen antiques that furnish the wonderful building and remind you of past times. The rooms were immaculately clean and provided everything you could need and more. The bed was very comfortable and the shower powerful. The dining rooms spotlessly clean with so many interesting features. Our favourite area was the licensed bar and lounge. A huge selection of alcohol was available with a very well stocked selection of wines and mixers. The decking area and garden was a treat to explore we will definitely be back. The breakfasts were fabulous and very filling and the owners remembered our preferences from the first morning which was so appreciated. A word about the owners Casey and Joe, they truly were a fabulous couple who couldn't do enough for us to make our stay simply perfect. We will definitely be returning! Thank you so much, I wish we could have finished our man versus food breakfast challenge Joe!

Only the misty weather, but it's Yorkshire, England, it's to be expected in September!

Lovely property with antique furniture and quirky items, just what I love! Quality complimentary tea/coffee and sparkling water. Gorgeous snug to enjoy a little tipple or two with an excellent stocked bar and comfy sofas.

Very friendly owners, Joe and Casey were great, nothing was too much trouble. Set in a quiet yet convenient location, especially for visiting Scarborough and surrounding areas.

Only one very slight negative for us, which may not even be considered an issue for someone else. The kitchen is located at the bottom of the stairs, and, maybe the kitchen door had simply been left open, but we noticed a strong smell of cooking/hot oil in our bedroom as soon as breakfast service began and this lingered even with our bedroom window open.

We stayed here whilst visiting to go to the open air theatre. It was a 5 minutes drive and looked cosy. Just wow! The owners were wonderful and greeted us at the property. We were shown to our room and had a lovely conversation about our visit whilst explaining everything we needed to know and where to find things. We had the superior room which was so lovely and had great facilities for us to use including bathrobes. The best thing about the stay- The breakfast!!! Oh my god! I had the full breakfast and my friend had the vegi breakfast! We both can honestly say, the best breakfast we have both had!! Thank you so much!! We will 100% be back!

The room was a lovely size, low ceilings so not ideal for tall people. It was full of character, a really lovely place.

There was nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was very nice

Would have preferred a bath with shower over it as I have an artificial leg and getting in shower was a challenge

Lovely comfortable room. Warm welcome from the owner. Complimentary teas/coffee/biscuits in room. Delicious breakfast.
