Koromiko Cottage at Lochsloy Farmstay Little River

The hosts are so lovely!! We had such a great stay, it is so beautiful!

Location was good. We were in the area to try and catch the Auroras that were happening at the time. Local beach was good but found on arriving back at the cottage that we were seeing some excellent displays from the property. Had most things you would need to cook a meal or two. Bathrooms were good. Plenty of firewood available although as suggested, its better to put the electric heaters on overnight as the fire does go out due the rules about not being able to damp it down.

It was a bit odd finding quite a lot of food in the cupboard that had obviously left by previous guests. Open boxes of cereal and a lot of random stuff. I hate waste but maybe the owners could use the stuff left by guests as this looked as if it may have been in the cupboard for a while. A couple of new dish sponges/scourers would have been good. This isn't really a negative but we had my two young Grand daughters with us and they had heard me reading reviews to my Daughter, quite a few of which mentioned how neat it was to get home made biscuits dropped in to them. Also quite a few comments of the same thing in the visitors book. We did tell them that not everyone had said they got biscuits but they were a bit disappointed that they weren't one of the lucky ones. So just a heads up to future guests on that.

Location perfect, hosts awesome, bedroom/bathroom set up perfect, loved having he company of the resident cat. Much appreciated cosy log fire and ample firewood

The oven wasn't clean; we had to clean a tray before we could use it. There was no milk but a considerable amount of partially used food in the pantry and fridge. No electric blankets but heaters were available in the bedroom. The mouse trap on the kitchen floor was a random extra!!

Older home that has been updated. It was very homey and had everything we needed. We were only there overnight, but I wish we had more time to spend in the area. Feeding the sheep was a bonus.

Stunning cottage and the claw foot tub was a work of art. Lovely host. Beautiful view. Very friendly sheep.

Quiet location just outside town with lots of space.

BBQ was dirty so we didn’t use it.

The setting was amazing. Lovely views, lovely wildlife and a cute wee cat! The home was very comfortable and perfect for our requirements.

It might be time to replace the frying pans and maybe add some mixing/ salad bowls and tongs.

Koromiko Cottage was delightful, in an idyllic location. The hosts were lovely - even presented us with some delicious fudge! We were extremely happy at the property and had no desire to leave. Property was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. No complaints - except the need for a sharper bread knife lol!!!. Even the sheep came to say hello
