Bournemouth Carlton Hotel By Sunday

Location is perfect, with easy access to beach front, town and the brilliant ‘Breezer’ bus service. The pool/spa facilities seem improved since our stay last year. Beds were comfortable. There is a decent choice at breakfast and the breakfast staff are pleasant and very efficient when clearing tables etc.

The room was very disappointing. We had requested a room with lift access but were, instead, allocated an ‘accessible’ room. We asked to be moved but there were apparently no other rooms available. We accepted that, at least, we had plenty of bedroom space but the bathroom was far from acceptable. After 2 showers the wet area flooded and we could not access the sink without wading through a paddling pool. To be fair, when reported, reception sent a maintenance engineer the following day. However, Wayne (the very helpful maintenance person) was unable to fix the problem but managed to sort something in the interim so we were able to get to the sink without wading! Perhaps management could be advised to check rooms more carefully before allocating. This is the first hotel I have stayed in that, on checkout, didn’t ask how our stay had been!

The pool was filthy, sauna grim, staff were not happy.

Brilliant location, lovely walk to the beach and close enough to walk into the town centre. The hotel itself has a lovely feel to it, the swimming pools are lovely (outdoor one was too cold to go in) but I bet its lovely in the summer months. Poolside gardens and outside space is lovely. The dining areas looked nice (although we chose to eat out)

The room we stayed in (224) was quite dirty. Just needs a deep clean. There was something gross on the carpet (a big dried in stained mark) I moved the dressing table across a little (to be infront of the mirror) and there was a kids aeroplane, a calpol/medication spoon stuck to the wall, a comb, shreddies (obviously fallen down behind) and a milk sachet. Which was pretty gross.

Location and swimming pool and restaurant area are very nice, rooms are standard and need some refurbishing as quite old building

Very late check in time 16:00 pm when pools close are either 17 or 18

We booked for a superior room with a sea view but received a normal room were promised a refund for the difference but this we did not receive We tried to contact hotel but you go through to American customer service that were useless and cost a fortune Overall disappointed with the hotels customer service and response to emails

Big room, well located, clean.

No fridge.

Nothing.

Carpets are dirty, Sinks dirty. Walls dirty, and the whole hotel smells. The swimming pool has no vigilance, people were recording with their mobile phones, both pools are very dirty, the pool outside has no tiles is plastic.
