Uros Lodge Lover

This was a wonderful off grid location with excellent food and opportunities to explore. Nicanor and his family were delightful.

Love our stay!!! It was very peaceful and quiet. The owner is very helpful and can arrange everything for us!!One of the most hard working guys I have seen!!! The breakfast is very good and his cooking is great! We love our chifas that he cooked!! It's a great way to see how the local people live. He also offers tours. Excellent stay and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great property with very hospitable staff, fresh breakfast, on a small floating island in the Uros, small, serene, great value and great if you are into nature. Full store / Cantine to buy things and restaurant. Great place to disconnect from the big city and enjoy nature.

Coordination from the main land to the lodge. I had to take a boat to a neighboring floating island and ask the owner to pick me up. I was travelling 8 hours and had all of my bags with me. I would suggest travel light.

Staying on the Uros Islands is an unique experience. Especially the quiet in the evening and the cozy atmosphere by the lake are very beautiful. The 10 year old daughter of the family is very friendly and I was able to have a conversation with her despite the language barriere.

The stay was very challenging without knowledge of Spanish. The host showed no effort to engage in conversation or use tools like Google Translate. The billing process was also peculiar, with instances of overcharging other guests and myself. The cabins are simple and nice, but lack amenities such as a balcony or loungers, unlike the other two cabins on the same island (rented by the neighboring family). Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this accommodation.

The place was great, and we got a room with a beautiful view and a nice balcony. But the best thing about the stay was probably the host Nicanor. He was very nice and attentive, picked us up at the port, made great food, and took us on a nice tour of Uros.

This is not a fancy place, so go there with the right expectations. Bring water and toilet paper, as neither of those were included.

Really lovely family, great food, very reasonably priced for everything you get & can pay by card. Lots of blankets to keep warm at night so temperature wasn’t a problem and the setting is just amazing.

Go in with the right expectations, it wasn’t luxury but that wasn’t what we were expecting, however our bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper and water was very expensive in their shop considering you can’t use the taps on the island

Amazing host! And the kids were fantastic. We had great fun with them. The food was really good as well and the rooms are comfy.
