Very calming and close to beautiful views

Beautiful property with much attention to detail.

Sofa was a bit hard

The property was lovely and quite unique having undergone a barn transformation retaining a lot of the original features. I had problems making contact with booking.com as they had my email address wrong so the host, Jim was very helpful in reassuring me that my booking was safe and explaining how to find them. We also appreciated the fresh eggs, milk and water that they provided. He directed us to the local pub on arrival where we had a lovely Sunday lunch though future travellers would need to check which days it is open. The property is quite rural but idea placed for Wells and Glastonbury.

The place had a lovely cosy feeling to it. We felt right at home staying there, and Hannah was a great, attentive, host.

To The Giants. This is a very special place to relax and unwind. It feels like a home from home. The furniture is comfortable and carefully chosen, artwork and design is very clever and amusing.. The fireside and fire is hilarious and challenging but we lived the challenge. Extremely environmentally and dog friendly. It is worthy of respect and care by all who spend time here. We hope to come back again and again. Thank you from The Borrowers. XX

We loved the place but there are a few suggestions. Hope these help. Please think about re- sighting the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms from the main galleried bedroom. The flashing lights from them in the middle of the night can be distracting to light sleepers. I suggest you stick them on the other side of the galleried wall facing the lounge area. That way they are high up but out of eyesight. Please don't leave the matches and firelighters on the woodburner when you tidy the house before occupancy. People who are not woodburner aware could set the house on fire if the dont remove them and the kindling away from the burner while it is being used.. And some extra long dry matches ( in a small metal box) for the fire would be perfect. Xx
