The Little Fountain House

Lovely little place. Very clean with everything we needed. Great location. 10 minutes to the town/ seafront. Very safe and welcoming.

The little courtyard was nice and it was very peaceful

The owner had a dog which we didn’t know about until we arrived that made me very uneasy although we only saw it the once , the waft of dog poo wasn’t nice when we were sat in the garden. The shower was not very clean it had some sort of black mould and the bathroom fan was dirty.

The property was clean and tidy and although the bed was a sofa bed it was quite comfortable. There was everything we needed for 2 people and even milk provided in the fridge. The views were amazing and the location was handy for visiting our friends who lived nearby and socialising in Dawlish. Will definitely use again

My only small issue is access to parking as I have a larger vehicle and found it a bit difficult to navigate, but my husband recons it way my driving

Location was very quiet and peaceful. We were far enough away from the bustling town but we were close enough to walk to see the lively streets and the wonderful views of the beach. There were plenty of cafes that catered to our requirements and tastes.

The instructions for the combination microwave and oven and also the induction hob were complicated and after one meal, we decided to eat out for the rest of our stay.

It is a quaint place beautiful decor, high spec mod cons , quiet the owners are lovely and friendly, we had the most wonderful time wish we could have stayed longer we will most definitely go back , the fountain was lovely even the crickets at night were lovely , such a wonderful place it is very special to myself and mu husband .

Location and facilities

Very quiet, and everything was within a 15-minute walk. The trains run frequently and are very reasonably priced.

The hot water in the shower lasts for 5 minutes, then goes cold. But you are warned about it by the hosts.

Had a fantastic stay at The Little Fountain House in Dawlish this summer. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The teeny home was adorable, with fabulous high end fixtures and fittings. Such a clever design and layout meant that we had all we could need in a cute and compact space. Ample parking and a cute terrace with a fountain and outdoor seating. The house was very clean throughout. The location is great, just a short walk into town, which had plenty of dining options. We enjoyed the best Thai meal I have had in the uk at Sticky Rice restaurant in the town. Other notable mentions were The Mix for brunch and La Cygne which does great food, cakes, drinks and also had a deli.

The only thing we didn’t like about the visit was having to leave!
