The Modern Mill Apartment

The location was good and spacious and the owner was helpful when we needed help or advice.

There were a few problematic issues - 1st with the opening of the door with the keys in a specific way, setting up t he heating; the old washing machine destroyed a few expensive t-shirts of my son as there was no 40 degrees option; the walls in the rooms were not clean - with stains and with holes; in the kitchen we miss some kitchen utensils - the oven was not fixed well and the only time we baked sweet potatoes - some steam and oil dropped on the floor; For this price one could hire 4 start hotel in Europe - so maybe our expectations were higher, especially when coming from a very nice hotel in Glasgow with excellent service and 1/3 cheaper.

We mentioned to the host, perhaps more bedding. It was an exceptionally cold night in Edinburgh on the Friday and we both felt it!!

Location was super,in residential area but so easy to get around the city.Well equipped kitchen,large spacious apartment which was spotlessly clean.Bed linen,towels etc were of good quality and also spotless.Would recommend this property.

Nothing to dislike

living room was fine, showers fine, bath rooms, clean place, can't complain for quiteness

beds extra hard, like futons, needs real beds. exterior building, key box location and combo bad communication, parking? $ 🅿️

Great location for transport into the city centre and airport. Good to have an en suite bedroom. Spacious living area and well equipped kitchen.

Windows all high so no views.

Good size and good bathrooms

The building was undergoing reconstruction of the front. When we arrived it initially looked like a demolition and could not see the lockbox. Very stressful wondering what was going on. Found the lockbox attached to a piece of wood and got the key. We were not notified of this and should have been. Apartment itself was fine. Bed a little firm for me and very low. Wifi slowish. I notified the hosting company and they replied promptly about the exterior renovation and apologized.
