Horbury High St Wakefield ideal for long stays and contractors

Spacious. Big kitchen. Cozy front room. Nicely decorated. Quirky. Quiet for sleeping. Parking outside property with permit.

Internet was hard to pick up.

Lovely and cosy house, had no problem with the street parking. Walking distance to shops, pubs and food places. Had a great Chinese takeaway from Happy Valley (closed Tuesdays). Just note the stairs in the house are steep, but i'm sure that's how the majority are around that part of the country. Beautiful scenic walks and country parks etc only a short drive away. Garden is pretty much dog friendly, had no issues with our Staffy

Only downside is that you can hear the church bells at night if you sleep in the back bedroom

I was grateful for all of the thoughtful things the host had included- such as lovely flowers, biscuits, kitchen roll and more. I loved the spacious kitchen leading into a cute back garden to sit and have my morning coffee.

A waste bin in bathroom would be handy.

The house is very clean, well equipped and in an excellent location to our family who live in Horbury. Excellent value for money. We have booked again for later in the year.

Location was perfect for the family occasion we were visiting for. Ease of popping to the town centre and shops.

The stay wasn’t long enough.

Area and house

Beds were small. Folding bed was quite basic.

Close to family and friends who we spent time visiting- very close to pubs cafes and restaurants that we like to visit- good choice of local takeaways- within a mile of M1 motorway only 3 miles to Wakefield centre- very cozy and most things required on site - lovely friendly village- would definitely stay again.
