The location was very good (once we actually found the place). Bed was very comfortable. The shower was good and the view was lovely. The building was also quiet. Being able to walk into the Northgate area was a real bonus.

Pre-registration on-line before we actually checked in felt unsafe. Contact with management was challenging. One stool at the counter was broken. A bare bulb in the ceiling was the only major lighting besides a small lamp at the bedside. There was no coffee maker or even a bit of coffee. No liner for the very small container that was to be used for waste. The wall to wall carpet in the room was not vacuumed very well - there were crumbs and hair from the previous guests. WiFi was intermittent and the very small couch was the only seating besides the bed. Another comfortable chair would have been nice. We feel this place could be very nice, but needs some attention to detail.

Comfortable room more like a self contained flat with a tv, fridge, microwave, kettle, twin hob which was part of the microwave. The room was clean with a lovely shower also a nice kitchen table and chairs by a lovely bay window with a great view of the surrounding area. There was also a nice garden with seating to enjoy the garden.

There was two things one was the main die luck was/is broken which made it difficult to get entry with your key if someone fully closed the main door. Another was that in one of the rooms below there were several people in that room who non stop partied getting very drunk shouting and really making loud noise all night long. In all fairness it isn’t the fault of the guest house operator but it did mean two days and nights of very little sleep.

I paid extra to get a bigger bed (I am 6ft 4"). The first room was lovely, very spacious, and I was delighted. Unitl, I tried the shower, and it all went downhill from there.

The shower didn't work. I reported it to the number supplied and sat listening to the blurb on their answering machine saying that they give a 5* service etc for ages & got through to a person in another country. Well I beg to differ.. . I am a seasoned plumber. I had done every thing possible to sort the shower out... its not rocket science, is it!. Electric showers are lifed and do just stop working. If there's no water coming out of the showerhead and the switches are all on, then it's broken. However, Mia from the land faraway didn't believe me... so we trooped back to the apartment & went through all the switches again. I feel like my whole weekend was spent (ruined) on the phone trying to sort out a problem in their apartment whilst wandering around Chester, trying to enjoy my time with friends whilst fielding phone calls I asked if I could be moved to another... another lengthy wait from the 5* agency. They put me into a tiny tiny room at the top of the house. When I'd paid for a large room/ bed... no apology.
