Nongkhiaw The Float House

Such a memorable experience, literally floating on the river with a beautiful view of the hills opposite and a huge bedroom and bathroom which included a full sized bath - wonderful to soak in whilst watching the boats go by after a few days trekking.

The access to the rooms is down around 30-40 steps so worth being aware if that's an issue for you / luggage. The rooms themselves are beautiful but are a little in need of work (eg bath emptied in part onto the bathroom floor then down the plughole in the floor) but as long as you're not expecting 5 star it's fine. The staff were a bizarre mix of lovely and helpful (day two) and comedy value rude (day one). Maybe I caught the lady on day one on a bad day but it somewhat tainted the feeling of staying somewhere so interesting but day two staff made up for it and were very kind.

Duschstange war defekt, konnte erst nach der 2ten Beanstandung repariert werden

Diese Unterkunft besticht natürlich mit der atemberaubenden Lage, direkt am Fluss, gegenüber die Berge, trotzdem in der Nähe der Stadt und zB des Aussichtspunktes über NongKhiaw! Eine richtig tolle Unterkunft mit einem absolut einmaligen Erlebnis, leckerem Frühstück und netten Mitarbeitern! Die Aussicht aus dem Bett, das relaxen auf dem Sonnenbett, das baden im Fluss, einzigartig!

Mit etwas mehr Pflege der Anlage wäre noch deutlich mehr an Luxusgefühl rauszuholen!

La maison flottante est très agréable et similaire à la description. Un peu excentré mais les navettes gratuites proposées par l'hébergement permet de se rendre facilement dans le centre.
