Friwen Mangrove Eco Lodge

Absolutely wonderful new bungalows, very spacious and comfortable with a great view. Snorkeling directly down the bungalow is amazing, just across from Friwen wall. Rashid, the host, is very welcoming and helpful.

All in all it was a wonderful stay and a great place. While of undoubtedly high standard in the area and superb facilities, it is on the pricey side (considering also meals are not included, whereas in Raja Ampat it should at least include half board - it's not like a place where there are restaurants and full board is in fact the standard in this area). The location on the mangrove, while nice and scenic, brings quite a bit of mosquitoes and a little smell. Towels provided initially were not clean, but they were also immediately replaced with clean ones when asked.

Heaven on earth. The rooms are exquisite, new and very well equipped. Just overall, unbelievable. Waking up here recharged our batteries. The host, Rachid is friendly, helpful and extremely passionate about what he does. He is an inspiration! Wonderful guy. Thank you again for this unforgettable stay. See you next time.

A truly wonderful destination. Great house reef, great food, beautiful scenery, and a very nice and thoughtful owner that really cares about his guests' experience.

Friwen Mangrove was absolutely the best place we stayed in Raja Ampat! It is a pretty new place. The owner, Rachid, did an amazing job. The water bungalows are very luxurious and comfortable with an amazing view. He has Starlink, so good wifi 7/24. Thanks to solar panels he put, we had electric 7/24 as well. Famous Friwen Wall is just across the bungalows which is a super plus. The surrounding reefs are also beautiful. Rachid organizes very nice excursions as well to many places. And the food - literally the best food we had in RA. Lots of varities for lunch and dinner, plus the nice & fun conversations. We had the best time thanks to his warm hospitality. Must stay place.

Rachid and his staff were lovely and welcoming. The location, the views and the tours that we did were all absolutely fantastic. Not to mention the amazing local food we were served throughout our stay!!! We generally like to visit somewhere different each time we travel, but this is a place that we will return to.
