Spice Forest Plantation Homestay, Thekkady

Everything was perfect . Best room I had this holidays,very clean and confortable. The view was stunning. The food was delicious. And then there was my friend Figo . He made sure my stay was quite enjoyable and he even kindly helped me with some issues I had. I do wish him all the best.

I wish I had stayed longer

The location was amazing, the property was lovely, the room and service was really good, the staff were so helpful and kind. We would thoroughly recommend this place to stay. The owner needs to put a sign at the bottom of the road as it was difficult for our taxi to locate the place and the road up was challenging for a normal vehicle. We will be sad to leave.

Spice Forest is a paradise for foodlovers and bird watchers. We spent 6 nights there and half puff the time we were the only guests. The cook and his assistant were very forthcoming and helped us with everything, organized trips to nearby Gavi Nat. Park and Periyar and showed us around on the plantation. We saw 40-50 different birds and Sambar deer, brown deer, giant and small squirrels. Francis is a fantastic cook. He cooked various rational Kerala dishes and made beautiful parotha. It was a real treat. We just fear that we have had the best of India in pour first week.....

The access road to get to it was difficult

It was in a beautiful location. I loved the glass eating area for its magnificent views. The owner and staff are amazing and really go out of their way to accommodate you. They are very caring and even worried about our wellbeing the first night we were late getting back.
