Instant coffee in the room, but that is a bit picky.

Stunning location, fabulous building full of character. Staff were very attentive, food was excellent and fairly priced. The breakfast facilities are excellent, and you can tell the quality of the produce. Room was clean with all the comforts of home. I came here for a weekend getaway with my brother in the depths of winter. And am wanting to come back in summer with my wife to enjoy a romantic weekend.

Well placed for visiting area, evening meal was very good..

Other younger guests being served alcohol up till midnight, said guests then moving from room to room with plenty of noise and shouting until 1.00am…… Radiator in bedroom 5 was leaking (rust) didn’t work…

Cheap, good size room, decent breakfast. Great location. Let us in 5 hours early because we were due at a wedding over the road at Askham Hall.

Check In was chaotic and took a long time. The bed and bath were covered in flies - needed to clean these ourself. There were flies all on the food during breakfast

Fantastic stay. Food exceptional, both dinner and breakfast. Beautiful village. Excellent local beer in the bar and fine wine list. Warm and exceptionally comfortable room. All round 10/10
