"Nothing glamorous but pleasant enough"

The town of Askham was lovely and the staff were friendly.

The room was quite cold, even with the heating on; the curtains did not block the light which meant we had car headlights illuminating our room until quite late, and the hot water didn’t work well - we had to run the shower for 10 minutes before it turned on.

Staff were great, very helpful with our breakfast requests. The room was spacious, nice bathroom. The place was clean and the food in the restaurant was good.

Mattress was a bit old, sagged on one side
