Very clean and very safe. The hosts were very nice and made everything really easy.

It’s about a 20 minute walk from the subway station and the shops concentrated in Hong-dae but it wasn’t much of a problem

Clean place and comfortable beds. Very close to the student area and not far from the city center as well.

On Booking it looks like a 4 people room in a house that is rented to make some extra money, but it actually has 4 or 5 rooms so it is more like a full scale hostel. The quiet time from midnight is not really respected (and to enter the room you need to make a code that bips so not great for light sleepers). It was very warm in the 4 people room, but we could not use the airco otherwise it would arrive straight on the person on the upper bed just below the airco, so it required opening the windows, and the neighborhood is quite lively in weekends until like 2AM. That being said, if you are a happy sleeper and like to explore the student neighborhood nightlife it won’t be an issue for you at all.

Everything was neat and tidy. You can feel that there is a lot of thought and love behind the guesthouse organization and all the amenities provided. The room was spacious and had 3 mirrors, hairstyling tools, qtips, cotons... The hosts make you feel like you're at home. Knowing the struggle of being vegetarian here, Lina helped me find nice veg restaurants, ordered food for me, and even helped me cook it! This stay was the highlight of my trip in Seoul. It's well located and so comfortable if you're looking for somewhere to relax and regain your energy. Thank you so much ladies for your time and dedication.

It was so clean! They have hairstyling tools which I really appreciate. They even have good body wash, facial wash and shampoo. Have to mention these because they’re not the type of hostel that just provides your necessities for the sake of having them, but the owner really considers what female solo travelers need.

Beautiful space, really comfortable, super clean, the staff is incredibly nice. Couldn’t recommend it more!! Would definitely repeat.

Carrying the luggage upstairs can be a little hard~

I almost never leave a bad review but I feel like people should know that this place is highly overrated. This place is entirely self check-in and check-out and the host stays in the same house as you. Upon confirmation, any communication with the host will be entirely through the chat so download the booking.com app ahead of time to have better access to the chat as you most likely will need help finding the location since there is absolutely no sign anywhere outside the building or in front of the front door. The host, Lina greets you coldly and makes you feel dumb for asking questions about which room/bed is reserved for you. Apparently, she sends out a long list of house rules and directions through the chat after confirmation but I didn't get any messages until late at night on my first day. Because I didn't know where exactly I was staying I made some noise going up and down the stairs and she came out of her room looking annoyed. She then asked to see my phone to look at her messages and showed me the last line of her long message about the floor I'll be staying on. I was shocked to see this kind of attitude in a host and appalled to hear the S* word from her. I asked her about the AC which her long list of rules mentioned having but when asked about it in person, she said no in an unfriendly way. At this point, I was so tired from the day and didn't want to make a scene so I just opened the windows and went on to get ready for bed. The whole stay was uncomfortable as I felt like every little thing I do, I need to go back to refer to her rules to make sure I didn't violate any of them. It's hard to use the common area freely because the host occupies the space at night and watches you like a hawk.

As for the bed/ room, the mattress is hard and no curtain for privacy. There isn't a lot of head space either if you have the lower bunk bed. I'm a short, petite (5'2" ) girl and yet I feel like I can't straighten my back or I would hit my head. It's a hostel situation so there are bound to be people who snore at night. The location is fair, 20-25mins walk from either Hongik University Station and Mangwon station. It's a safe neighborhood but I'd be careful still because the front lock isn't properly locked for half the time during my stay. I'm fine with all those because I have a lot of hostel experience but it's really the attitude of the host that bothers me. When I checked out on the last day, I had another day in Seoul and couldn't bring my luggage with me. I communicated with my roommate who was fine with me leaving my stuff with her for another day. As I said earlier, the host isn't around much during the day, so I couldn't find her to check out or talk to her about my situation. I ended up leaving my small carry-on luggage in the common area and messaged her that if she didn't want me to use that space, she could move it to where my roommate's stuff was. She sent me nasty messages later basically implying for more money. There was someone else's big suitcase in the living room the whole time during my stay and if she really felt it was an inconvenience to guests she should've moved it somewhere else. Her messages ruined my mood and her behaviors are certainly unacceptable for a host. Maybe that's why this place is for foreigners only so it's easier to take advantage of us. The funny thing is when I returned the next day for my suitcase, I talked to the girls who were staying there and none of them had any issues with my luggage. I messaged her about speaking in person as she was not in the house but she ghosted me as you can see in the photos.
